A Navy Blue Vest

A Navy Blue Vest

Here are the patterns.  We will need your bodice pattern for making this vest.  Get your tools out and get started.

Front

First, trace your front bodice patter to the paper.

Then, add the reference lines .

From there, you can start adding to it to form the pattern for the vest.

Back

We will need to start with bodice pattern.

Add reference lines.

Then the pattern.

Collar

We need to measure the front and back neck lines from the pattern we already made.

The last part is the lining.  We use the finished front and back patter to make this.

Here is a tip for sewing the white trim on.  We don't want to bind it like binding quilt.  It will look bulky.  I sew it on the lining first, after assembling it will only show on the front.

If you want, you can add a little buckle on the back.

That's it.  Happy sewing!
