3/4 Sleeve Tunic Shirt , Project 1

If you don't know how to blow up the patterns, look at the tutorial.

I will start with this easy sewing tunic shirt.  The pattern on the front is my own design.  If you have a embroidery machine, you can find a pattern easily.  If you don't have one, it is OK.  You can just do what I did using the functions in your sewing machine and creating your own pattern.  The only difficult part of sewing this shirt is the front opening.  I will create a tutorial for that part.  You should have no problem with it.

Here is the pattern.

 Front:

sleeve

I used centimeter instead of inch to measure because it is more precise.

Waist     Chest   Hip   Back (neck to Waist)

Small              68.5       89       96.5   37.5  (cm)

Medium          74          94      101.5   40   (cm)

Large              79          99       106.7  41.5  (cm)

Tutorial for cutting and sewing:

1.  Fold the material to the middle, then line up your pattern along both folds.

2, Cut out sleeves

3. Cut out lining for the neck part.

4. Iron on interfacing.

5.  Sew on the lining.  Don't cut the middle of the front yet.  Sew around the line you draw.

6.  Now you can cut.

7.  Cut little cuts around the neck area.  Be careful not to cut pass the line you sew.  Now yo can sew the front and back shoulder parts together.

8.  Sew on the sleeves.  Remember to match the front part to the sleeve to the front piece, and back part to the back piece.

9.  Close the sleeves and the sides of the shirt.

10.  Then  it is done.  All you need to do now is to decorate your shirt.
